Baba appeared on the edge of the island her reddish white eyes gazed at the mess in front of her. "This place looks like it's seen better day's." she said to no one as she walked towards what had most likely been Circe's home. The whole place looked overgrown with plants and weeds, vines while she walked along she did have a feeling she wasn't alone. Someone or something seemed to be around watching her something magical she just wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't going to stop Baba though she was on a quest to find Circe's magical artifacts or anything that might be useful to her. Why should those magical items be left here to rot?
Stopped in front of the building, then suddenly moved to one side just barely avoiding the blade of a sword. "That wasn't nice." she pointed her staff at the woman turning her into a pig "Oh how fitting don't you think?" the pig squealed in return "No, I'm not going to turn you back. If you keep demanding to be turned back, I'll find someone whose craving fresh pork." that got the pig to stop any further pleas. "Be a good girl and show me around the place I would love a tour." after a short protest the former Amazon began showing her around. Before they got too far Baba picked up the sword she didn't have a clue how to use it but it might still come in handy.
They made their way into what appeared to be the kitchen "Are you wanting to die that ba-" she flung the sword at the approaching woman impaling her in the chest. Baba looked over at the woman she had just killed, she was rather young looking if she had cared she would have felt bad about it instead she kicked the pig sending it across the room. "I'm starting to think I should just turn you back and eat you myself." she said as she moved closer to the pig.

She had been sleeping. The sun was annoyingly warm this time of day, so she had retired to the shade of a nearby tree to sleep through the afternoon heat. Or that was what the plan had been until the island had let her know about the new presence. The Amazons were nothing new, they always had left a few on the island as a precaution, and after their initial venturing into the thick forests of the interior, they usually did not trouble the beasts on the island. The mistress was gone and her creations ran wild. But this new presence? It was different. She growled upon sensing the power it held.
She stalked the intruder, watching her from a distance, not quite understanding why she was here, but inherently knowing it was not for a good reason. The Amazons proved to be no trouble for her, as the woman quickly turned one into a squealing pig. That right there caused her to pause, but not due to the magic used. Instead it was because she had not eaten for a few days and the promise of and easy meal was terribly tempting. A small meal, yes, but she had always liked pork. When the woman and the pig entered the building, the promise of food disappeared, replaced with the fear of what that building held. Bad memories. Bad past lives. Something she was trying to avoid in order to live. That was why the Amazons were here. They wanted to kill her or bring her to their warrior queen so that worse torture could be accomplished. That was why she had to hide, to stay away.
But the renewed squealing of a pig and the sounds of a fight overcame her fear and she crept cautious into the former palace. Being cautious meant that she missed most of the second battle, but the woman, in her anger, kicked the pig and sent it flying. It landed only a a leap or two away. Hunger and opportunity driving her, she pounced on the animal, claws digging into its flesh as her powerful jaws bit down and snapped its neck with a single jerk. While the carcass was still warm, she began to feast. She should have dragged it away to safety; a smarter and less hungry lioness would have done just that, but she was not in a mood to be thinking. The other woman would have to find another pig to eat somewhere else, a point that the former sorceress Circe emphasized by growling and baring her teeth as the woman approached.

Baba raised an eyebrow as her piggy was just turned into a lioness lunch the surprised looked turned to one of annoyance "That pig wasn't for you to eat." She said knowing the animal could understand her as she could understand them. Her annoyance turned into surprise when she realizes this was a lioness not a lion she had never actually met Circe, but she had heard the tales that she turned people into animals men actually none of the stories ever said she turned women into beasts. "Circe is that you playing lioness?" she asked as she leaned on her staff not worried if there were anymore Amazons left, she could easily take care of them and making sure no one ever found them.
The strange thing was Clark or Kal-El whatever he wanted to call himself didn't bother with Baba the reason why? She was easily able to trick him into thinking she was someone who wasn't a threat to him. She had been at home watching what was going on in the world and saw he was in Russia using her magic she changed her house into a normal looking one and her human bone wall into one of stone she changed her appearance into that of an old crone one that couldn't see very well and had answers to the questions he would most likely ask because the people in the area called her Baba Yaga. In the end Kal thought the people in the nearby villages were just mean to the old woman because she chose to live alone out in the middle of nowhere. With her off his radar she was left to do as she wanted without him knowing about it.
If that really was Circe her plans had just gotten side tracked unless of course she'd had been an animal for too long and she stopped caring about what happened to her things. Then Baba would just leave her to her meal and be on her way which she was hoping would happen but most likely wouldn't happen, she wasn't that lucky when it came to things like this. So she'd play it by ear and see how things went. Then she would figure out what to do.

"Pig is on my island. Pig is mine," the lioness growled in response to the woman. She did not care if the woman was hungry or not. "You find food elsewhere." But, at the mention of her name, the lioness stopped eating and looked at the woman, a mix of realization and remembrance dawning in her eyes. "My name. How do you know it?" It had been a while since Circe had talked to anyone, having hidden on her island in the form of a lioness for so many years, so perhaps she wasn't being the best conversationalist. But then again, talking to a lion never got you anywhere quickly or easily. The woman was here to find something, that much was obvious, and, having seen what she could do with her magic, Circe doubted roaring and displaying her claws and teeth would do much of anything.
Moving a small distance from the carcass, she gave her face and paws a quick washing before stretching and shifting forms. It was a slow process, as if she were using an ability that had atrophied over the years. Or perhaps, she wanted to get every detail of her human form correct. Bones shifted, fur disappeared, and muscles and organs realigned themselves to allow the sorceress to stand and walk upright. Circe stood there in the nude for a quiet moment, as if waiting for Wonder Woman to come slamming through the roof of the palace and finish her off in one swift motion. When that didn't happen, she looked over at her guest, eyes still giving her the glare of a lioness whose territory had been invaded.
"Who… who are you? Why are you here?" Her words came slowly and precisely, having not spoken out loud for years. "What are you looking for on my island?" she asked.

"Saying it like that makes it sound like everything belongs to you that's here. Which I don't mind except I don't want to belong to you." Baba growled back somewhat mocking her "I already have food she's lying on the ground over there in a pool of her own blood." but she'd deal with the body later right now she was dealing with a grumpy lioness. "Stories word of mouth and a rather annoying yet pathetic Amazon Queen." the things she wanted to get done couldn't be done from her home so she eventually had to leave on her travels she had come across Diana and Kal the way the woman had acted around Kal was so funny she had to bite her tongue in order not to laugh in their faces.
"My name is Baba." was she expecting the woman to know who she was? No, not really, would she be surprised that the woman knew her? A little, maybe. "I'm looking for a peaces of an amulet I was wondering if you had any or a scroll or two that had information about it. You've been out in the world longer than I have thought you might have gained one of those items." she looked the woman over now that she was no longer a walking talking furball. The purple hair was a nice touch really made one stand out among the Greeks. "Help me out and I can help you get rid of your Amazon problem." a smile spread across her face like she had done something really bad to someone and no one knows it but her.

It wasn't just mortals that were sent to this other earth, it was gods to most other gods didn't seem to care all that much about what was going on with this earth like always they were to focus on themselves. Except for one the current Sky-Mother better known to everyone else as Athena, she didn't like at all what she had seen of the Greek gods of this earth and she was going to do something about it Zeus was no where to be found, she didn't know why but she knew he wasn't there nor was his power among any of the other gods so he was still alive somewhere. Instead, she went after her counterpart and her brother because he couldn't stay out of it. The three of them waged war against one another the Sky-Mother would have had the upper hand had she used Zeus' powers, but she didn't they did this the old fashion way without powers because Ares mostly lacked them and her twin never got the chance to use any of her's.
The three of them were locked in combat for days, maybe even weeks none of them knew for sure they were too busy to stop and check a Calender to see how long it had been. Sometime during the battle their powers started to clash acting on their own the three appeared in different places but never stopping their fight. They eventually ended up on Aeaea in front of Circe and her unwanted guest Baba. Finally breaking free the Sky-Mother knocked Ares away to deal with her dark haired twin who leaped into the air at her twin who swung upwards a sword appearing in her hand at the last second impaling the dark haired Athena in the chest, pulling the sword out Sky-Mother threw it at Ares in mid-air it changed into a spear that hit the god of war in the stomach pinning him to the wall. "You're far too weak to survive this Ares." She said as she walked over, grabbing the spear she pushed it in deeper keeping it there until he died before pulling it out of him. The dark haired Athena tried to crawl away only to get the spear in her head. She wasn't a fan of doing this to herself but it had to be done even if it made her look horrible to those around her.

"Everything on this island does belong to me," Circe answered curtly. "That is why it's my island." She did not appreciate the woman's tone, though she did not say it out loud. "I don't keep women," she reassured her. Keeping women just didn't seem as fun as keeping men. Yes, one or two had come to her over the centuries, and she did have her nymph attendants, but that was different. But right now, the immortal sorceress had nothing. Her animals had gone wild and her attendants had fled the day her home was attacked. The fact that this woman outright claimed to know Diana and had spoken to her was not something Circe particularly enjoyed.
Looking over at the dead Amazon, Circe's mind began to tick through the list of who this white haired woman could be. Though she had been a lion for the past five years, that did not mean she had lost all her faculties when it came to problem solving. Cannibalistic tendencies, a distinct accent to her voice, hands that were scaled and clawed. Not many people who wielded magic had these attributes. It was the name that pulled everything together. "You're a bit younger and more attractive than the stories I've heard about you, Baba Yaga." Though she hadn't been around as long as Circe, the sorceress still intended to treat the witch with respect. In folklore, Baba's disposition had a tendency to be rather fickle; she could be cruel then kind in an instant. Or vice versa.
"Pieces of an amulet? You will have to be more specific, as there are many amulets in the world, both broken and intact," she told her. Yes, perhaps she did have the amulet, but she certainly wasn't going to tell Baba that. First, she would need to know what one she was looking for in the first place. "My Amazon problem? Why do you smirk like tha-" Circe's question was interrupted by the ceiling caving in as three gods hellbent on destroying each other fell through. The sorceress recognized both Ares and Athena, though the blonde was a mystery. Not that it mattered as she took care of the two in short order. She hated to admit it, but Circe did retreat while the godly deathmatch finished. But why wouldn't she? Athena was a friend and counselor of Diana and if she learned about her goddess' death, the Amzaon's anger would likely be swift. Ares though? Not so much. His powered had been weakened, leaving him a shell of his former self. At least he died on his feet.
"Leave," she told the blonde woman when she returned to the chamber, a robe quickly draped over her body. "Leave now and take those bodies with you. I do not want their deaths on my island." She then turned to Baba. "I should cast you out as well. No one knew of my continued existence until you came here. Now I must contend with the death of two Amazons and one of their gods! You bring trouble here."

"Which isn't a whole hell of a lot is it? You have rubble and spider webs look how rich you are." she replied to the rude goddess "You just haven't found the right woman yet." No, she wasn't suggesting anything between them Circe was far too.... Annoying to put it nicely, but then again gods are annoying aren't they? Always thinking they're so much better than everyone else Baba found it more annoying that even with losing everything Circe still thought she was better than her.
Baba followed Circe's gaze to the dead warrior woman as she tried to put the puzzle together and figure out who her guest really was. She figured it out a lot faster than she had thought Circe would. "The curse of having white hair in the part of the world where everyone is drunk on vodka they think your old. But then again the stories of you weren't all that great either were they?" Most of the story about her was wrong except for the hut with chicken feet that was real along with the bone wall. And she did set traps for the people who were foolish enough to enter her hut.
That would be hard she didn't really know what it looked like other then it was gold and had a jewel in the middle and actually a key to a prison but she did know what part of it looked like. She had found a drawing of one of the three pieces of the amulet she just didn't know what the whole thing looked like. "Diana enjoy's my cooking." Baba managed to get out just before the ceiling caved in. Unlike Circe Baba didn't leave, she just moved back out of the way, giving the battling gods room to fight. She'd teleport out of there if she really needed to, but she was going to stay and watch.
The Sky-Mother ignored Circe's order to leave her island as she used her magic on the dead war goddess, while Baba made her way over to Circe and poked her in the arm just hard enough to get Circe to stop talking and to look her way. "That is Athena your yelling at." She used her magic to create an image of one of the Guardians of the Universe "These small blue people used their powers to open a gateway from this earth to another earth pulling people from there to here in order to deal with Kal. My guess she's that earth's Athena and not too happy with what our Athena was doing." Why else would she kill the two war gods? Just when she had finished a large brown owl flew in landing on the blonde's shoulder its head turned to watch the two women. Athena stood up which put her a few feet taller than the other Athena or roughly seven feet. "Your friend is right Circe I am Athena of the other earth and Sky-Mother to that Olympus. My counterpart seems to have lost her way while the Zeus of this world had disappeared. This Superman won't have the Amazons backing him anymore, they will be punished as well as Diana."
Athena walked towards the front door as the bodies of the other gods disappeared "The gods of this world have grown cold and uncaring. This will change." she stood outside looking at the sky Baba looked up as well seeing something or someone getting closer. It's a bird! No, it's a plane! No, it's a pissed off Diana! The woman flew down towards Athena about to slam into her until she slammed into some unseen force that knocked her out. "Like a bug hitting a windshield." Baba snorted, trying not to laugh but was failing. Athena wasn't surprised that Diana came after her. During their long battle the three war gods had appeared and disappeared all over the place Diana probably saw them fighting at one point and found a way to track them here to Circe's home.

The sorceress glared at Baba Yaga. How dare she mock what the woman had. Five years ago, Circe had indeed been rich, able to get anything she wanted and very few people seemed to bother her no matter what she did. But that all changed when Superman and his little team decided to take over the world. "Women, although perfectly wonderful to look at, lack the equipment I'm interested in." And no, advancement in strap-on technology didn't always scratch certain itches.
"No, there are a few stories that contain my name where it makes absolutely no sense or I apparently am the mother of children I am not related to." But then again, mortals always did enjoy changing family trees and lines of genealogy. "Mortals enjoy twisting the truth when they can. It makes them feel important and all powerful."
At Baba's quiet reluctance, or perhaps due to the more likely fact of not knowing what the amulet looked like, Circe sighed. "Perhaps a drawing or description would help." She wasn't about to let the woman simply rummage through her things, looking for something she might not even have. Granted, there were only a few items and talismans that were truly unique and powerful, which Circe always kept secreted away, but you never could be too careful about these sort of things.
"I know all about those little blue men and their special squad of lanterns, Baba. As for their plan to bring people from worlds here? Brilliant. There are two dead Olympians on my island. Any other time I would be ecstatic about their deaths, particularly Athena. But now, not so much," Circe stated before giving the living Athena a second look. "Sky-Mother? Having a nice little case of patricidal tendencies, are we? Why am I not surprised?" However, upon hearing her plans for the Amazons, Circe's snarkiness abandoned her. "Leave the children on the island alone. Anyone under the age of fifteen."
Following the supposed Sky-Mother, the sorceress seemed to be having a little difficulty believing what she was hearing. "And just what do you intend to do?" Before her question could be answered, Circe followed Baba's gaze upward. "No…" With how fast Diana was approaching, there was no time to prepare anything but the most basic of defense spells, and even then, Circe had not used her magic in five years and was not certain it would work at all. Whirling to face her guests, she all but snarled. "Didn't I warn you?!" She would have continued her tirade had the Amazon not slammed herself into whatever unseen force that had stopped her. "Kill her. Kill her before she regains consciousness."

"One of these day's I bet you'll regret saying that." weird things tend to happen to people of magic you never know what will happen or who you'd actually fall in love with. "Besides, you have magic you can change....things..." Hopefully she didn't have to spell that out because Circe seemed like a very smart woman. "They can be very annoying at times and useful the rest of the time." their fear of her meant most people left her alone those that ignored the stories hunted her down and ended up her dinner.
She didn't have a drawing, but she did have part of the amulet so she pulled it out, "It would look like this." she said as she held the piece up for her to see. It wasn't all that fancy it was gold had text on it that was very, very old and a spot in the middle to hold something but you couldn't really tell because the other half was missing along with whatever fit in the middle.
"It wasn't me who killed Zeus, his own actions brought about his death and Hera being as greedy as she was trying to kill me but ended up getting killed herself. I took the throne once I was freed from my stone prison." She thought about what Circe had said before bending down and picking up Diana a hand around her neck. "You were made by the gods the same one's you corrupted. This was not what you were made to become." With that Athena used her powers to turn Diana into stone her clothes changing as her body did. "Go and stop your sisters, I will deal with them soon enough." the now stone Diana did as she was told before flying off.
What Athena had in mind for the Amazons wouldn't be able to avoid the children instead she used her powers to summon those that were blood related to Circe. Two people showed up one who looked to be around 15 another was much older and taller with long red hair who looked rather shocked. Kaileena looked around, spotting the Circe of this world someone she didn't know Athena and...."Hippolyta?!?" she looked rather strange no she wasn't surprised that she was so young but it was more the way she was dressed she looked like an Amazon.

"I am very well aware what magic can do to the human body, Baba. The gods were changing the sex of people long before any mortals started doing so. I have yet to meet any woman who is worthy of sharing my bed longer than a few hours." Even then, it was nothing exceedingly spectacular. As for the comment regarding mortals, Circe didn't reply. The one thing they had in common was the fact that both Circe and Baba did dine on mortals. However, their eating habit were entirely different. Baba was a cannibal and Circe simply made sure her food was actually entirely of the animal variety before preparing a meal.
Taking the amulet piece in hand, the sorceress looked it over carefully. "I might have piece similar to this in my possession," she stated. Did she have the whole thing, including the centerpiece? Circe couldn't say for certain, but the writing on the gold did look familiar. It was in a language foreign to her, which made her cautious, and she would prefer to do more research before simply handing over what could be a dangerous weapon. "I'll look through my things once all of this is said and done," she said, giving back the broken amulet.
Athena was telling the truth, at least from what Circe could sense. Granted, this god had no reason to lie to her, but neither did she have any reason to tell the complete truth. The Athena she knew was a fair god, but she also held her knowledge close to her chest, dealing out bits of information as she saw fit in order to control her pieces on the playing board and make sure everything was in her favor. The fact that Hera had imprisoned her raised a mental alarm. "Why did the queen of the gods lock you away, Athena?" As far as she knew, Hera and Athena had never had any true strife. Yes, there was the golden apple incident, but once the war broke out between Troy and Greece, the goddesses decided to join the same side in battle. But then again, all gods were fickle and temperaments changed like the wind. So who knew the actual reason. She didn't expect her to answer anyways, as she seemed to intent with changing Wonder Woman. When Diana was transformed, Circe watched her fly off to Themyscira. "You made her into a stone golem? Not that I don't appreciate the irony or tongue-in-cheek handling of the truth of her origin, but how do you know that change is permanent? I've done essentially the same to her before and she's come back from it." However, once the two summoned people appeared, Circe forgot all about her question.
The older woman Circe did not recognize, though she did look a bit familiar. But the other one? She knew her in almost an instant, despite the change in age, clothing, and the hard look in her eyes. "…. Lyta?" she breathed, not believing her eyes.

Hippolyta looked around. A moment ago she had been heading for the training grounds after wishing her mother good hunting. An imposter claiming to be the goddess Athena had been battling both the true goddess of wisdom and the former god of war. Why she would pick a fight with her much weakened godly father, Hippolyta did not know, but once Diana had found out their battle had had stopped in one area longer than the usual few minutes, the Amazonian Queen had left to deal with the heretic. Perhaps she would bring Hippolyta back a trophy. The young woman waited for the day she would begin to display her own proper set trophies, rather than just the skins, antlers, and horns of fallen beasts.
Clad in Amazonian armor, the next thing she knew, Hippolyta was on a foreign island, surrounded by other women which included the false god and one she had not seen in years. Rage bubbled up inside her as she locked eyes without he woman who birthed her, the woman who wanted, years ago, to destroy her mother. Thankfully, or perhaps not, the person next to the young warrior drew her attention by uttering her name. She did not know her, but due to the fact that she appeared aligned with the two traitors, Hippolyta immediately suspected a trap. She would not be taken so easily. Thinking fast, she used all of her godly strength to slam her elbow into the redhead's side, drive her heel down hard on the arch of her foot, and summon a double-headed axe into her hands, of which she slammed the butt of its handle into the underside of her chin, snapping her head back sharply.
Not stopping and not wanting to give her enemies any advantage, Hippolyta hurled the axe at the imposter goddess in a strong, overhead throw, and used her momentum to dive into a roll, popping up with bow and arrow in hand, and loosing two shafts within seconds, one at the white haired witch and the other at Circe.

"First time for everything." Was Baba talking about herself? No. She wouldn't touch Circe like that in a million years or with a ten foot pole. Funny things tend to happen when people were so set in their ways she would love to be a fly on the wall when Circe realized a woman was better than any man she had been with. Although that could take a long time with the way things are going for the goddess. "That's all I ask." Baba took the amulet back, tucking it away out of sight, although she had a feeling she was going to have to trick Circe into giving it to her or some other way if she did indeed have what she wanted. The woman wasn't just going to hand it over to her and wish her the best of luck.
"She turned me to stone because I helped my brother Hercules a lot she saw us as threats to her rule. Didn't do her much good in the end." In the past, she and Hera hadn't had any problems for the most part, but that all had changed when she started teaming up with Hercules a few years ago helping him out on different things mostly adventures. "You're not as powerful as I am what I did won't be undone. Can't be undone by any means."
Kaileena wasn't at all happy about being abused by her older little sister as she was at this point younger than her. Nothing she did really hurt, but it did annoying her a lot. Kaileena appeared in front of Lyta she didn't teleport, but used her speed "I'm the one you have to worry about. Sis." She said as she went to punch Lyta in the throat, wanting to end this fast without anyone getting hurt. Athena caught the axe with ease as Baba turn the arrows into flowers that hit the two goddess before falling to their feet.

What, could this witch tell the future? Did she know something Circe didn't? Because from the way she was talking, Baba was clearly giving the idea that she did. That was something that annoyed Circe. If she was supposed to end up with a woman, that was something fate would decide, but as of right now, there were no females in her life. Certainly, not the present company she was keeping.
"I had the power of the gods within me when I turned Diana back to clay," Circe stated, wanting to feel all powerful. Old habits died hard, especially when it involved posturing off against other gods, particularly those she had a bad history with. Yes, her Athena was dead and gone, but for the time being, the blonde one was an easy substitute.
She should have acted, done something to stop her daughter when she first attacked, yet all Circe did was stand there and watch as Lyta attacked the redhead and made an effort to go after everyone else. Were it not for Baba's magic, the arrow would have struck the sorceress, but she doubted she would have felt the impact, she was so entranced by the look of anger and rage on her child's face. The expression hurt her deeply. Only when Lyta was taken down did she finally react, running over to her fallen child who laid gasping in the dirt. Putting her head in her lap, Circe magically bound her wrists together before looking up at the strange woman. "You called her sister and by her name, but you are not an Amazon. None would dress like you. And you are not a child of Ares." Naturally, that left only one option, but Circe knew all of her other children had passed away long ago. They took after their fathers, and though they were extraordinarily long-lived, they were all mortal. She did not want to ask the question that was waiting on her tongue, already knowing what the answer would be, so instead she looked back at her child. "Thank you…. for stopping her."

In hindsight, Hippolyta had realized where she went wrong. She should have followed hit the redhead's jaw with another swing of the axe, this time with the blade to her neck. At least then she would have known if she were anything special. The modern clothes were deceitful. She moved too fast for a mortal. Here Hippolyta had been too focus on bringing back a trophy or two for her mother to realize her mistakes. Now she knew why she still wasn't allowed to fight and hunt those who stood against the Amazons and Wonder Woman. She was still learning.
The punch came swiftly and unexpectedly. One moment her view was clear, and the next, the redhead was blocking her vision. After that, Hippolyta was sprawled in the dirt, trying desperately to breathe with what felt like a crushed throat. She would heal, she knew that. Diana made certain to show her what she could and couldn't heal from, but for now, the little warrior was in agony. To make matters worse, the purple-haired witch ran over and began coddling her.
It would have been so easy then to summon a dagger and plunge it into her heart, but the witch must have known her intent as her wrists were quickly tied together. All she could do was lay there as a prisoner, helpless and useless, a failure to her mother. The thought of that caused tears to well up, and for the first time in year, Hippolyta began to cry, a rasping, choking sound as her throat still healed.
